Hallie Heeg, MSc, CPC is a therapist, entrepreneur, executive leader, recovery coach, and an interventionist with over 18 years of expertise in trauma, eating disorders, substance use disorders, process addictions, and behavioral and mental health. She has over 15 years of personal recovery herself and has helped hundreds of individuals, families, and professionals.
She has been an expert guest on media platforms such as, CW6, Dr.Drew, Health InvestorUK, TBNUK, and Katie Couric to name a few, and sat on boards for HelpCounseling the International Association of Eating Disorder & George G Glenner Alzheimer Association.
She has been a behavioral health liaison to organizations like, NRECA, Amtrak, BNSF, and American Airlines. She is trained in the Invitational Intervention Model and is a certified life coach. As one of the co-founders of OneHealth, she was nominated for an Athena Pinnacle Award which is presented annually to individuals and an organization/company that has had a significant impact within the San Diego technology, life science, healthcare, defense, energy, clean-tech and services sectors.
She has worked for the world's largest and most respected private not-for-profit alcohol and drug addiction treatment providers, Hazelden Betty Ford as well as Alsana treatment centers for eating disorders. She founded a non-profit called I AM, which supported those who struggle or who are in recovery from an eating disorder and instrumental in the development and establishment of building an Intensive Outpatient Program for substance abuse, eating disorders, and co-occurring conditions.
Sofia Capria, M.Sc., CRC, CSI, A-CRA is an internationally certified Recovery Coach and Interventionist, with over 10 years experience in the addiction treatment field. She specializes in behavioral and mental health for young populations, teaching emotional regulation and relapse prevention. She combines an action-oriented, solution-focused approach with empathetic understanding to help her clients achieve optimal well-being in all areas of life.
Sofia holds a Bachelor or Arts in Psychology from George Mason University and a Master of Science in Addiction Studies from King’s College London. She has worked in residential treatment centers throughout the U.S. and Europe, for drug abuse awareness and prevent organizations, and as a neurobiology research assistant at the University of Cambridge. In addition, she has been invited as keynote speaker at a number of fundraising events for addiction treatment non-profits and at school assemblies, where she has shares about her own personal journey of long-term recovery. Currently, Sofia is recognized as an internationally accredited coach by the IAPC&M and is working towards certification as an Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counsellor (IC&RC).
After completing my year of service as Miss America 2008, I have been honoured to work as an international motivational speaker, mental health and recovery advocate and digital media strategist. My passion is inspiring others to health and healing, helping organisations communicate authentically and minimise the boundary of the screen to provide real human connection. Through my media and communications company, En Pointe, I work with a diverse group of clients in both the profit and non-profit sectors increasing social engagement and scalability, social listening, communications training, and increasing brand awareness.
I serve as Director of Global Business Development and Digital Media for Eating Disorder Hope, creating content and producing a weekly expert-interview series, Community Relations Specialist for Timberline Knolls Residential Treatment Centre and as Founder and President of the Kirsten Haglund Foundation, which raises funds to support families get access to quality care for eating disorder recovery.
For the last seven years in New York City I also worked as a on-air host and political analyst across television news and radio, including on MSNBC, CNN International, Fox Business Network, and Fox News Channel with Op-Eds on politics, culture and non-profit advocacy appearing in the New York Daily News, Forbes.com, Huff Post and in industry journals.
I am a proud alumna of Emory University with a B.A. in Political Science and am currently based in Zürich, Switzerland.
